    Default change motor

I have moved to Australia and took my DW708 but the voltage is no good. Can I get and motor for a later model in Australia to fit and if so which model is compatible for mounting????

    Hello Rodney,

You should be able to locate a converter/ transformer in Australia to run your 120 volt tools on 240 Volts. Try talking to some local construction companies in your area to see what they use. I know there are a lot of 120 volt tools being sold down under.

The difference between 60 and 50 hertz will not effect a universal motor. If you were using a induction motor your rpm's would be a little slower and it might run a bit warmer.
