    Default table saw repair

    Hello;
    I have a 10" delta table saw that stopped spinning. It would make a high pitching and grinding noise when I would turn it on. I would see smoke and smell burning plastic at the end. Currently the blade spins but stops spinning when I try to make a cut. I went through the diagrams of the parts and I believe it is the drive belt. My question is, where can I get a manual that will help me take it apart or would it be best for me to take it to get repaired by a professional?

    Hello Joe,

    It is not that hard to replace the drive belt on this saw. You will want to remove the pulley cover by taking out the four screws holding it to the motor. Then you will be able to see where the drive belt is positioned. There are 2 pulleys that the belt rides on. Work the belt on the pulleys. It will be tight, make sure the cogs on the belt line up with grooves on the pulleys.

    Hope this helps,
    WJA
