Radio works off of battery but will not charge the battery.

Hi Rod,

There are a couple of fuses inside your radio. Items #31 and 32, part numbers 5140019-09 and 429790-32. Sometimes these fuses will go bad. Of course a blown fuse can be a signal of a bigger problem as well. Replace the fuses. If the fuse blows again then your radio likely has a problem with one of the circuit boards.
