Makita 6303h

I have a Makita 6303H and the spindle has broken. How do I remove that spindle? Any help is appreciated.

You will need to start by opening up the transmission on your drill. Remove the gears until you have access to the spur gear, item #8. Now remove the retaining ring, item #9. Now you can pull the spur gear from the shaft. Also remove the gear key from the shaft. The shaft is pressed into the front bearing. You will need to press the shaft out of the bearing. Now you can press the new shaft back into the bearing and reassemble the other parts.
