Dremmel 732 parts interchanbe w/ Foredom?

I have a Dremmel flex-shaft tool #732, and would like to run 1/4" tools in. Will Foredom 1/4" collets work in the dremmel. Also, when the flex shaft fails, can I replace it with a Foredom shaft?

As your are probably aware of the items you are looking for are no longer available from Dremel. You can call Blackstone Industries, Foredom is a division of them, at 203-792-8622 and ask them if the collets and flex shaft are interchangeable with Dremel.
