    Blade seems to be setting at an angle when inserted

    I am guessing you mean that the blade is at an angle to a line drawn from the front of the saw to the back through the center of the blade. With the Ridgid saws this is usually caused because the blade is not inserted all the way into the blade holder. Open the blade holder and push the blade farther down into the holder. This should solve the problem.
