Bosch 11305 jackhammer bit over extention

Could a worn locking bolt cause the bit to get stuck so there is little to no hammer effect ?

More on the loss of hammer effect. When the bit gets stuck, if I use a hammer to beat the bit back into the jackhammer the hammer effect works for 20 seconds and then the bit gets stuck again.

The locking assembly, if worn could be the cause of the problem you are having, that would be the least expensive fix. You might want to inspect the bit to make sure it is not worn where it fits into tool holder. Also check the tool holder for wear.
