starter housing Ryobi BC-30

How can I take off the metal flange that is holding the starter housing in place. I need to replace the spark plug boot on a BC-30?

to get to the ignition coil itself you need to remove the power head from the shaft.
remove the clutch drum, then the clutch springs. then the outer housing will pull away from the engine block exposing the ignition coil and plug wire.
