my unit gets overheated quickly
there are constant sparks coming out from the housing, where the brushes meet the motor
What is the problem and the fix

Hi Edward,

The sparks are a pretty good indicator of a damaged motor armature. The armature becomes damaged by being overheated. It can be overheated by overuse or overloading. Use of an extension cord that is too long and small of gauge will also overheat the motor. The motor will need to be replaced.
