Unfortunately when the factory doesn't have an item in stock and they can't give anyone a delivery date the one that suffers the most is the end user. There are quite a few Dewalt Factory Owned Service Centers throughout the country. If you contact one, they should be able to check inventory to see if there is a service center that might have that part in stock.
