I just bought a used Ryobi BT3000 for $25 because it would no longer raise the blade. The threads in the gear housing through which the threaded rod goes to raise it were stripped. I was able to JB Weld a nut on to the housing on the bottom of the protrusion that was threaded. It works great now.
