I was wondering if anyone has ever converted a DW991 14v to a DW995 18v by simply just changing the clam shell. I recently loosened up the clamshell on the dw991 and plugged in a 18v and it worked just fine. I of course used a dremel to modifiy it a little. The clam shells online look identical except of course the battery base.
