Default Need to push the Blade to start?

Been using my table saw for about three years as a DYIer. Today I cut three 2X6 and a *x 10 up with no problem. Then I went to cut a small piece of wood and the saw would not start,,Trird the trip switch nothing. I then touched the saw blade and it started to spin with lots of noise and sparks at the end of the motor? Turned it off and again had to push the blade to start it. Does anyone think it is only the brushes?? Also is there a simple way to get the motor out to check it? Thanks * Joseph

    Hi jewelstoyou,
Sounds like the motor got hot and melter the brush holders sizing the brushes in the brush tubes.Take the back cover off and see if you can remove the brushes. Its possible you also have a shorted armature.Hope that helps.Good luck.
