If you have a DA250B with a functioning magazine, and you can take a close look at the magazine cover and spring, I'd really appreciate it.

I have a Porter cable DA250B Finish Nailer where the spring unit (426 in the diagram above) is broken off from the magazine cover (424 in the diagram above) so the magazine cover doesn't retract and hold the nails in place. The spring unit appears to be intact, but I can't tell how it's supposed to attach to the magazine cover, and the parts diagram above doesn't show enough detail for me to tell. I'd rather not replace both parts if I don't have to. Can anyone tell me if the magazine cover comes with something to attach to the spring, or if the spring comes with something to attach it to the magazine cover?
