how do i check my battery to see if it is good before i buy a new battery charger.some times if the battery is nogood the charger will not work

If you dont have a Cadex or machine to test the battery and charger, the best you can do is to check static voltage with a voltmeter.The condition of a battery is measured in a number of different ways. Static voltage,dynamic voltage,residual voltage,current output resistance,stationary discharge rate etc. All this has a bearing on the condition of a battery.
Do you have a fast charger or a wall wart charger. Wall wart chargers are a little box that plugs into the your 110 volt outlet. A fast charger will generally give you a series of flashes that tell the condition of the pack. If you can give me the battery number and charger number I might be able to help you troubleshoot it a little better.Hope that helps.
