clutch won't hold

My clutch on may drill doesn't hold. When put under load drill makes a ratcheting sound & chuck won't turn. What all parts will i need to replace?

Hi,Royh,You'll need to take it apart and see what the problem is.It sounds like its stuck between high and low.That model makita had if I remember right very few problems other then a few problems with the high and low selector.The transmission is real simple so the problem should be obvious once you get it apart.Hope that helps.
