Default ring, piston and piston driver

the piston driver i am replacing has the ring, piston attached. I was under impression that the piston driver i ordered would have the ring attached. so much for assuming. anyway, can i remove the original ring and place it on the new piston driver? thanks

    Hi vtjohn,
I believe that uses a teflon ring in a plastic cylinder and as long as the cylinder and ring look good it should be fine.Be sure not to put grease or oil around the ring as if I remember right that tool is an oil free tool and any oil that gets around that ring or cylinder will attract dust and will act like a lapping compound prematurely wearing the cylinder and ring out. Hope that helps.good luck.
