saw circuit breakers

I have a craftsman table saw that has no circuit breaker or thermal protection and I don't want to have to replace the field assembly and armature again. Can I wire in such things and protect my saw from further damage?

Hi gravy,
Most small saws don't have a circuit breaker or GFI. Reason is they depend on the circuit breaker that their plugged into for that usually 15 amp. They make a small in line GFI that you plug the tool cord into and then plug it into the wall.This would give you some added protection.Hope this helps.good luck.
