How do I replace it? Do I skrew it into the plate first and then rotate the sander body untill it's snug? Or the other way around?

Hi joemar,
To do a clean repair you should also replace your posts and pad bearing. If you have all that apart it won't mater which end of the coupler you screw in first. These are all high wear parts and should be replace together but its up to you.Hope that helps.Good luck.
