    Default Pad wobbles during sanding.

When sanding the pad seems to wobble and jump around....I have replaced the lower bearing with no success, the problem continues...While the sander is off I can actually take the pad in my hand tilt it left and right, this doesn't seem right....nothing is loose or missing....would it be the friction pad that needs replacing? I'm out of ideas....

    Hi kapper,
The best way on repairing that Bosch sander is to replace Fan Part Number: 2610911980
as an assembly along with 2610911970 Friction Ring and pad. If there is any lateral wear anywhere on the bearing housing or 2600328027 Driver even a few thousands ,it will equate to many times that at the end of the pad. This in turn will throw the pad of the center of its axes and cause excessive vibration.Hope that helps.Good luck.

Hi Dave....Just saw your reply to my ?.....That sounds good but I guess I would ask you as to why I can hold the pad in my hand and tilt it right and left....That doesn't seem right to me and I can't do that with a porter cable and a ridgid sander that I also have. It just seems like to much movement in that area and I'm thinking that that is a big part of my problem.
