Bosch 1295DVS Orbit sander problem
I have this older model 1295 that has developed a wobble or vibration in the pad as you are sanding....Nothing is loose and I have replaced the lower bearing thinking that was the problem but nothing has changed....The sander has ruined several projects but I hate to just toss it away....I can actually hold the pad in my hand and tilt it left and right....I'm now thinking it is the friction ring that is just underneath the sanding pad but before I order one of those I'm wondering if anyone can offer any suggestions....Thanks.

Bosh 1295DVS sander: any luck with the wobble?
Assume you meant the lower armature bearing has been replaced.
The lowest bearing (wobble bearing) seems a likely candidate if it still has issues but hard to imagine you would not be able to feel any excess play in the bearing... Unless the bearing retainer can be removed and replaced ??? a whole new fan assembly (#815) for aprox $25 would be the part to get.

I have a couple of Bosh 1295's (DVS & D) and am using 'eReplacement' to keep them going. Right now I have a #815 fan assembly on order for the DVS after the orbit bearing (lowest of three bearings) froze up. Getting the little 'star' bearing retainer out seemed so difficult that the extra $6 to get the whole assembly seemed justified.
