How to replace a shaft lock

Hi DEADHEADER,
Use a small screw driver and pry 417771-6 Pin Cap off the 256510-7 Shoulder Pin 4.The pin and 234057-1 Compression Spring 8 will come out from the inside of the gear housing. Check the housing and make sure the hole that the pin slides into is not worn allowing lateral movement of the pin.If there is excessive wear replace 318335-8
Gear Housing. reassemble in reverse order.You will need a small hammer to tap the button over the detente on the pin. Hope this helps .Good luck.
