dewalt table saw motor

I have a Dewalt table saw mod DW744 The motor stopped when I was cutting.Pushed the reset button and still not work. I tested it out and Im getting power to the motor. What does the the box do that is mounted to the bottom of the table? Is that a transformer? Im thinking its something in the motor. Since I have power to it. Any help would be great. Thanks

Hi Dirty, you said that you had power to the motor ..... Have you checked the fields? I have one that the fields burnt up in.... ya a bad batch of table saw motors !!!
