Air compressor problem

Air compressor question….

I have a Porter Cable Air compressor, Model CPF6025VP that is 8 years old. It has never been used commercially. I have it in my home. It has always pumped up to 120lbs and automatically shut itself off. Today for the first time it pumped up to 80 lbs and ran continually, so I shut it off and tried it again. It still pumps only 80 lbs and will not shut off. I have checked for leaks and found none, and it will hold the 80 lbs pressure after you shut it off and does not leak down. Can you help me with this problem? Thanks in advance.

The pressure switch goes bad after a while,,,,,,,the diapham may have failed or the reed vales in the pump may have given up the ghost or about too,,,,,,,,,,,,,I sent my craftsman back to the shop ,128 dollars later my son in law got a good air compressor and I got a new one for 298 dollars ,,,,,win some lose some ,,
