Porter Cable FN250 finish nailer

My Porter Cable finish nailer misfires the majority of the time. I will turn the air pressure control up and it will work for a while and then start the misfiring again. Any suggestions on what I can do to get it to work correctly?

You may have broken the check seal. Without that, the piston will not retract all the way causing a misfire. Also check to see if there is a piece of nail stuck in the nose.

Well...I got tired of trying to figure it out. It is now on Ebay. I started the bidding at $30. You win some and lose some. Thanks for the help.
