xtra small snap ring pliers

I just got a replacement connecting rod assembly to fix my bosch flush cut saw (1140vsr). My question is how do I find retaining ring pliers small enough to remove/install the ring. The set I got at the auto parts store is too big. I forced it off, but I'm afraid I will bend or break the ring if I try and force it on.

Most auto part stores sell a reversible snap ring pliers for internal and external snap rings.They come with removable points.Small screws on the slide of the pliers allow you to change sizes of the nose pins.Included is a small box with different sizes pins.Hope this helps.
