    Default motor fix or replace

    Cannot get motor apart,makes loud roaring noise.

    Hi Maytag. Sounds like you might have bearing problems in there. Here's a link to a parts breakdown for the saw:

    On page two of the diagram it shows the motor assembly. Have you taken a look at the diagram?

    Default motor

    Yes Mike ,I haved looked at the motor brake down.I cannot get the pulley off to get the motor apart. My pulley looks like type 2. With no bolt holes. How does it come off. I have removed the c looking clamp

    IT looks to me like you will have to pull it off with some bearing pullers. if the shaft has a flat side that will be the case. Looking at the picture of the pulley. it looks to me like there is a flat side. good luck hope this helps. alittle WD 40 and some heat could help.
