An all around great saw... Just the right amount of features, and very well built. I feel like so many new tools are "gimmicky" - but with these Makita miter saws, I don't think that is the case. They perform well and get the job done. This saw works great for all types of applications. The motor has lots of power, starts smoothly, and stops quickly. It is easy to get a straight cut.
