This tool has a nylon part in the clutch that will melt and ruin tool function....not available as replacement part unless you buy the whole gearbox.......this part can be changed without even opening the gearbox!<br><br>Stupid.......Dumb.,whats the point of parts if you cannot get THE part that fails?......<br><br>Jim

No doubt about it, we're starting to see more and more of this in tool replacement parts. It seems like everyone is going to assemblies now, and they can be expensive. From a convenience perspective it's great to be able to just install an assembly and be done with it. But from a cost perspective--and this is really the point of repairing anything--it's just a big problem. Unfortunately the burden is on the manufacturer to create a greater variety of parts for these tools.
