The clear plastic fan is a piece of junk, otherwise it's OK. Why no parts?

Ditto on the fan. This thing is now a Chinese paper weight.

I need a fan as well. It just flew apart one day. No one seems to have them.

Yeah, the clear plastic fan is a piece of junk. The fan should be brass. It will strip out, not because of heat or abuse. It will eventually just fail. The rest of this item is built like a tank, albeit a plastic tank. Good motor, great design. Crappy plastic fan. If they don't want to get hit on item returns from Kmart or Wal-mart, they need to fix that problem.

Yep, clear plastic fan problem here too. Got a blower and no fan....sheeeze! I'll see what other brands there are.

Yet another case of the clear plastic fan blade blues here as well. Interesting that you can't purchase a $2.00 plastic part that threads on. I guess that's too difficult a repair for us "end-consumers"; we need to utilize an authorized B&D repair facility for such a complex task. Shame on B&D for making such a part from brittle plastic AND for not making a replacement part available.
