    Default 2 stars Over Torqued

I rated this a 2 because the screws in the cutter drum are torqued so tight, the screw heads are stripped. now i have to drill and easy out the screws and replace them just so I can change the blades. I even tried to take the cutter head out, but that to is really in there tight. Now it will take at least another two weeks to get the screws. I'm about ready to throw it in the trash. I think its time to go back to craftsman!

I had this same issue. I tried applying heat and tapping the screws with a hammer and punch to get them to turn loose. I finally called and got them to let me talk to someone in the shop. They told me to use the hammer and punch at an angle. Once I did that the screws came out with no problem. It has been working without issue since then.
