Disappointing
Received the Oster Expressbake breadmaker 5838 as a Christmas gift. The Breadmaker I received did not work. The paddle assembly was frozen & would not move. I returned it for an even exchange for an identical unit. Made 1 loaf of bread in the new unit. When I attempted to make a 2nd loaf about 2 weeks later, the metal mixing assembly on the underside of the basket broke off. That's right- the metal paddle assembly under the basket broke off. The only loaf of bread I made was good & the convenience was great, but the quality of the machine sucks! Now I either trash the whole machine or shell out $25.00 (plus shipping & handling) for a replacement basket assembly. With no receipt I can't send it back for an exchange. I think I'll replace it with a more reputable brand machine.

I think your mixing pabble is not made of strong enough material. Mine broke. I don't want to sink $25 plus expensive shipping into this machine. Can I just buy the paddle?
