baying a2040

I am thinking about baying a 2040.The guy said it has sat for a long time.he says it runs but it needs a new roller.how mutch do you think i should pay or how mutch are thay gowing for.If someone could give me some feedback that would be great.

I have seen used Makita 2040 planers go anywhere from $500.00 to $1400.00 depending on their condition. If the one you are looking at needs new rollers, your looking at approximately $500.00 for both. It is a good quality planer and has plenty of power for the job. Inspect it carefully because the parts on it aren't cheap.
